€10 Every session starts with safe equipment. Your gift covers the cost of riding necessities like helmets, saddles, grab straps, adapted reins , and therapy saddle pads so that riders can take part with confidence and dignity.

€25 Therapy is more than just a saddle. This contribution provides one month of therapeutic materials — communication aids, sensory tools, and activity resources — used by our team during and between sessions.

€50 This is what an AHT session looks like. Your gift funds one complete therapeutic riding session, covering the time of our instructors and the careful preparation of horse and arena that makes each session possible.

€100 We grow by training the people who support our riders. Your generosity funds the preparation and certification of a volunteer, equipping them with the knowledge and skills to safely support riders in the arena and beyond.

€250 Our horses are our co-therapists. This kind contribution covers one month of feed and bedding for one of our therapy horses — Tina, Zara, Morane, or Stella — who show up every day of the week to do extraordinary work.

€500 Some riders need more. This big hearted investment helps us develop new approaches — from adapted equipment to innovative terrain and techniques — so we can reach individuals whose needs are still waiting to be met.

  • Yes. AHT is a legally registered IPSS Portuguese nonprofit, funded through donations, memberships, limited program fees, and grants or sponsorships.

  • Support AHT by direct bank transfer or by credit card.

  • For every donation, AHT automatically issues an official receipt linked to your personal or company NIF within 7 days. This receipt can be used directly when completing your yearly Portuguese taxes.

    For tax deductions specific to other countries, we recommend consulting your local tax advisor.

    If you are a Portuguese taxpayer, you can allocate 1% of your IRS to AHT through the Consignação program at absolutely no extra cost to you. AHT’s NIF: 502 509 104

  • Yes! Every year, Portuguese taxpayers can direct 1% of their IRS to a nonprofit of their choice. It doesn't reduce your refund or increase what you owe. It's simply a way to put your taxes to work for something you believe in.

    How to do it: When filing your IRS (by 30 June), enter our NIF in the consignação field:

  • Yes, gratefully. We welcome donations of equipment, supplies, and professional services that support our riders, horses, and facilities. Please contact us before sending anything so we can confirm current needs and arrange receipt.
